Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy is a safe and effective therapy that works to help the body to heal itself. Cold laser therapy works by penetrating the targeted tissue and stimulates the cells to produce more energy called ATP.  This increase in cellular energy allows the cell to repair and regenerate quickly and effectively.  The laser uses a non thermal wavelength of light so there is no risk of tissue damage.  Cold beam laser therapy penetrates into the tissue to improve healing and decrease pain and inflammation for effective physical therapy.

We use cold laser therapy with many of our clients who have a variety of conditions such as:

  • Acute/Chronic strained muscles (Tennis/golfers elbow)

  • Acute joint sprains (ankle, knee, wrist, elbow, etc.)

  • Carpal Tunnel syndrome

  • Tendonitis

  • Arthritic pains

  • Plantar fasciitis and heel spurs

  • TMJ dysfunction

  • Shingles

  • Wound healing

  • Sinusitis

We see the usefulness of laser therapy everyday with our clients whether they are a young high school athlete, an adult weekend warrior, or a senior with aches and pains. Here are some of the benefits of using laser therapy:

  • Rapid cell growth

  • Faster wound healing

  • Produces an anti-inflammatory response

  • Reduces fibrous tissue (scar tissue) formation

  • Improves cell regeneration

  • Improves blood circulation

  • Stimulates nerve function

  • Stimulates the production of endorphins

  • Decreases substances that are pain generators (eg. Substance P)
